The Hall is the community hub of the communities of East and West Hanney.
CCOVID-19 Latest News February 2021 - the Hall has been closed during the latest lockdown but from May 17th is available for regular user groups to return. We are currently unable to take bookings for private parties or functions such as wedding receptions under the Government restrictions but will update this page when the restrictions are eased.
The main facility in the Hall is the Main Hall used for large meetings, parties, plays, concerts, and sporting activities such as bowls, badminton and table tennis. The Olde Hanney Room is a smaller meeting room that also has a bar. A third smaller meeting room is also available called the Committee Room and the Kitchen can also be hired adjacent to the Main Hall. The Hall has two sports changing rooms that can be accessed externally by teams using the community playing fields.

The Main Hall is the size of a full size badminton court with a polished wooden floor ideal for sports such as badminton, bowls and table tennis. It can accomodate events with up to 200 seated participants and tables are also available. There is a stage located at one end of the Hall for parties, concerts and drama productions and there is a very high quality audio visual system with a UHD data projector and Dolby surround sound system available for hire. The Main Hall is also equipped with a modern stage lighting system and is fitted with a hearing loop for the hard of hearing.
The Olde Hanney Room
The Olde Hanney Room is a medium-sized meeting room that can accomodate up to 50 people for meetings, parties and events. It is equipped with an electric projection screen, data projector and sound system that is available for hire. There is also a hearing loop system for the hard of hearing. The lighting system has recently been updated with controllable LED lights to select the appropriate lighting for the booking. The room also has access to our bar which is available at no extra charge for events in the Hall.
The Committee Room is our smallest meeting room that can accomodate up to 12 people for meetings. It can also be used as a changing room for drama productions and concerts. There is a sink and urn that can used in that room for refreshments.
The kitchen is located adjacent to the Main Hall and can be hired for events in the Main Hall and the Olde Hanney Room. It is very well equipped with two cookers, a large fridge freezer and a microwave oven. Crockery and cutlery is also available for hire and there is a large hatch linking to the Main Hall.
The Hall has two sports changing rooms that can be externally accessed and can be hired by sports teams using the community playing field. Both rooms have showers and toilets.
